The only thing chilly about the first few Boat Shows this winter has been the weather here in the Northeast. Beyond that, activity has been decidedly hot and, despite the arrival of yet another Arctic Vortex, this week’s New England Boat Show in Boston continues the warming trend.
Press reports from Miami, Providence and Chicago shows seem to echo the increase in attendance and in the motivated mindset of attendees. We’ve personally attended the NY Boat Show (which opened on New Year’s Day – really?), the Hartford Boat Show and the Northeast Fishing and Hunting Show; most of the exhibitors we met agreed that there is finally cause for optimism and enthusiasm in the recreational marine market.
If this news doesn’t lift your spirits, perhaps the fact that it’s now just three short weeks until Spring might do it? In either regard, the marine forecast seems to be very sunny indeed.
