We are advertising guys with a boating problem … a serious boating problem.
A cheery ahoy from we the crew of Walden Pond Marine! As you’ve guessed by now, we love boating. Sailing. Fishing. Kayaking. Cruising – if it floats, we wanna be on it. Back on the hard, we can be found at our day jobs applying journeyman web, search, social and advertising skill and know-how to solve problems and create opportunities in our client’s businesses. That, and using Captain Dave’s bosun rig to get up to the second floor.
Andrew Kaplan – Digital strategist and WordPress wizard; always gets lost on roads yet seems to have a knack for safely entering a harbor in darkness.
Current boat: Recently sold his Catalina 30; looking for a replacement boat this summer.
Boating hero: Willy. He and Andrew would go drop-line fishing at night off the coast of Puerto Rico. Andrew was only 15, so GPS’s were not yet invented. Many times they would return under a dark sky using the light from a local gas station as their solitary source of navigation through the coral reefs.
Capt. David Metzler – Our marine content marketing guy. A USCG licensed captain, author of 3,500+ sailnet posts and Uber Kraftmeister.
Current boat: Also favorite boat: OPBs. Other people’s boats. Last year, he sailed over a dozen of them as delivery captain, crew and dishwasher.
Boating hero: Robert Redford, in “All is Lost”
Morgan Vincent – Ex-lobsterman, Digital Creative Director, Rock and roller. Morgan delivers the creative platform upon which all our communications programs are built.
Current boat: Chris Craft
Boating hero: Ishmael
Emma – Shore Patrol. Welcome committee. Happily takes either Dog Watch.
Current boat: ODBs
Boating hero: Rigel; big Newfie, Titanic survivor and savior to a lifeboat full of his fellow passengers.
